Did you say Easy Reader? That is, the app for your iPad?
Nice to listen to you, glad you’ve added this format.
The app I use is called GoodReader. Love it!
So much fun to hear your experiences with my Faded Splendor Tam! Well, I don’t want to give the impression that I experienced schadenfreude over your cast-on and corrugated rib problems–I’ve been there, done that myself often enough. I’m just pleased that you like the pattern.
On the “which hand to hold which yarn” issue in corrugated rib: once I developed a good handle on purling with my left hand, I have found it significantly easier to hold the yarn to be purled in my left hand because continental purling requires only a slight movement of the hands to bring the yarn forward, as opposed to the larger movement required by right hand purling. But really, it’s about what works for each knitter–you were correct when you pointed out that it’s consistency that matters.
So, don’t let this tam sit in the time-out closet too long!

Janine–Just noticed that you will be teaching at Madrona; I hope we run into each other, as I’d love to meet you. I can always use more people in my life who regularly use the word schadenfreude in relation to knitting!
